Get it done

Good evening!!

Wow today has been busy. Worked all day. Stopped at Hobby Lobby on the way home. If you’ve never been to a Hobby Lobby I don’t suggest going to one BECAUSE you will fall in love and spend all your money there. ❤ 🙂 Seriously the cutest store ever. I redecorated my dining room for under $10 tonight. I went in for brown paper bags and came out with 5 new signs, hooks, and an organizer for next to my garage door. Phew! At least it’s not another Target charge & come to think of it I haven’t been to Target in forever!

What I’m writing about tonight though is how to be productive. There are so many tips on this and the bottom line is JUST DO THE THING YOU DON’T WANT TO DO. If you have laundry to fold, a dishwasher to unload, clothes to put away, dinner to cook, a deck that needs power washing, a coaching business that needs tending to, an email blast to write for your full time job, and a blog post to put together… and you think you don’t have enough time to do all of those things so you sit on the couch and turn on The Real Housewives on New York then you are NOT helping yourself. I cannot tell you how much time I have WASTED watching TV.

Mindlessly sitting on the couch with my mouth open, eyes glued to the television as if I’m learning a great life lesson. When, in reality, I’m just draining my mind. You have to FUEL your mind if you want to move forward. I got a text tonight from my sister in law “I just put the kids down 15 minutes early so I could workout.” She has 4 kids. Do you think she has TIME? No. But what did she do tonight, she made the time. Instead of wasting the time watching TV she got her workout in! How awesome is that!!!???

So if you’re struggling to find the time I’d like you to do an inventory check of what you do throughout the day. Get a calendar that has hours on it and for ONE week I want you to write out what you do throughout the hours. If you have several hours of TV and 0 hours of exercise then you should consider changing somethings around. It is important to have balance but we cannot have balance in our lives until we get rid or limit the negative habits.
